Teaching Plan
Ⅰ、Teaching Aims
Let the pupils learn to use the prepositions “in”、“on ”、“under”。

A rubber, a box, pictures, slide projector and tape-recorder
Ⅳ、Teaching Steps
Step 1 Warming up
1、Greetings
2、Sing and act out a song-Stand up, Sit down
Step 2 Revision
Give the pupils some small pictures and let them say something about the pictures.
Step 3 Presentation
1、Teacher : (show a rubber ) Look!What’s this ?
Pupils:It’s a rubber.
Teacher:(show a box) What’s this then ?
Pupils :It’s a box.
2、Teacher :(put the rubber in the box)Where is the rubber ? It’s in the box. Then teach the word “in”.
3、Put the rubber on and under the box.
Then teach the words “on” and “under” with gestures.
4、Read and differentiate the three prepositions.
5、Show slides of picture
Let the pupils look at the picture ,listen to the tape and think about the questions :
No 1:What’s in the picture ?
No 2:Where are they ?
6、Play the tape and solve the questions.
Step 4 Listen and Read
Let the pupils open books, listen to the tape and read after the tape-recorder.
Step 5 Practice
1、Teacher :(stick the picture of a desk on the blackboard and put an apple on it ) Where is the apple ?
Pupils :It’s on the desk.
2、Ask the pupils to stick their pictures anywhere they like and ask others:Where is it ?
Then others answer :It’s in/on/under …
Step 6 Ask and Answer
1、Let the pupils take out their stationeries and practise the phrases in groups.
(Four pupils as a group. One puts his or her stationeries anywhere and ask: Where is it ? The other three pupils answer. Then exchange ).
2、Act out the conversations.
Step 7 Listen and Do
Let the pupils put up their stationeries. Teacher gives orders and pupils do as what the teacher says .
Examples :A book on the desk.
A rubber in the book.
A ruler under the book.
